Mesquite, Nevada Guide

Located approximately 80 miles North of Las Vegas near the Arizona border, Mesquite, Nevada, combines a small-town atmosphere with world-class gaming action, fine dining, live entertainment, championship golf and relaxing spas. Mesquite also serves as a gateway to a variety of outdoor recreational areas such as Zion National Park, Lake Mead Recreation Area and Valley of Fire State Park. Popular activities in the Mesquite area include golf, horseback riding, swimming, seasonal game hunting, and trap and skeet shooting. Don’t miss an opportunity to visit the eclectic Desert Valley Museum, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Founded in 1894, Mesquite remained a sleepy stopover for motorists until the '70s when a development boom began. Today, visitors have a choice of nearly 3,000 rooms in four hotels and five motels. Major hotel-casinos, ranging in size from 200 to 950 rooms, offer golf, spas, fine dining and action-packed casinos.
